This is the first time in several days that we’ve seen sun here in Fairfax. Yesterday we were blessed with non-stop rain (yes, I’m being sarcastic). The lovely thing about rain at George Mason, is that our campus is like a flood zone. Water collects everywhere. Currently, our campus is under construction so our walkways are limited. There were puddles so deep and large that students had to divert their paths through nearby buildings. It was really quite ridiculous! Luckily, that yucky weather seems to have passed. The next few days look beautiful!! I only have six more days before I head home for the summer and I am way beyond excited!! I’m ready for a change of scenery. I’m ready to see my family and my pets. And most of all, I’m ready for a break from all the school work. College is hard! There’s no way to sugar coat it! But it is manageable. Unfortunately, I’m the type of person who gets über stressed and overwhelmed. This leads me to work on assignments at least a week before they’re due. That’s the only way for me to relieve myself of the constant worrying. Luckily, that’s not a bad thing! I have one assignment left before I’m officially done with school work!! I can taste the sweet, sweet victory of finally finishing this marathon that has been my junior year.
Now for my outfit, today I went simple. I chose my in-your-face floral pants, which I got on sale at Free People, and paired it with my white Reformation top! This could have been another perfect opportunity to mix prints, but I chose to go the other route and let the pants take the lead. When you wear prints, I don’t think you need too many accessories. The print speaks for itself!! Also, as you may have already noticed, I’m a less is more type person! (But you wouldn’t know that if you saw all of the necklaces, bracelets and earrings I own!) Hope you all are having a beautiful Thursday!!
