WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS’ DINNER BEST DRESSED

The White House Correspondents’ dinner is probably one of the most exciting events of the year for celebrities. I don’t know that to be a fact, but I sure think it would be quite an honor to be included! Actors, singers and models get to travel to the nation’s capitol and spend the night frolicking with journalists and political elites. That’s something they don’t get to do every day. This year, there were more people on my worst-dressed list than on my best-dressed list, but I still managed to have quite a few favorites — including Taylor Schilling from my new favorite show Orange is the New Black!

I’d love an invitation to next year’s dinner! (Haha, we’ll see how that goes.)

white house taylor
Taylor Schilling in Zuhair Murad. She looks gorgeous! The navy dress and blue earrings really bring out her eyes. I love the hint of sexy lace at the waist too. It’s the perfect way to balance out the long-sleeve dress!
white house darby stanchfield
Darby Stanchfield in Alberta Ferretti. I feel that many people will disagree with me on this dress, but there’s something about it that I just love. Alberta Ferretti has a very ethereal design aesthetic. Maybe that’s why I love the dress! But I also have to say that I think there are very few people who could pull this lime green color off. Darby’s fair skin and red hair look beautiful against the dress’ harsh color.
white house jessica
Jessica Simpson in Carolina Herrera. I have been a fan of Jessica for such a long time. I know she’s been working hard on getting her body back into shape after having her two children, and I have to say, she looks stunning! The dress accentuates her tiny waist and I am always a fan of florals! You can tell that she feels good about herself.
white house lupita
Lupita Nyong’o in Oscar de la Renta. This girl can do no wrong! She looks absolutely gorgeous! I love the fun and flirty polka-dot bodice, but I’m glad the print stops at the waist. Had the whole dress been polka-dotted, I’m not sure how I would have felt about it. The peplum top and slim skirt make for the perfect combination on this dress!
white house marika
Marika Dominczyk in Unknown with husband Scott Foley. I love the white and lace combination. Those are two of my favorite things! The dress shows just the right amount of skin. I also really love the halter top!
white house freida
Freida Pinto in Thakoon. I typically love everything Freida wears, but this dress was not an immediate hit for me. I loved the color and I did like the design, but I just wasn’t feeling it at first. However, the more I looked at it, I started to like it. I love the small triangle cut-out in the center and I’m glad Freida wore her hair up. That way, you can admire the neckline of the dress.
white house sofia
Sofia Vergara in Romona Keveza. She is always a bombshell, isn’t she? I love the simplicity of the dress and the statement necklace she paired with it. As always, the dress hugs her in all the right places! Sofia knows what parts of her body she wants to accentuate and she does just that.
white house kat
Katharine McPhee in Paule Ka. I’m not sure if this dress is coral or pink, but either way I love it! Again, it’s simple, but the sequins at the top add just the right amount of detail to keep the dress from being boring. I also love the cut of the dress right above the ankle! She looks stunning!
white hosue anne
Anne V in Kaufmanfranco. Allesandro Ambrosio wore this dress down the runway and Anne V looks just as stunning (probably since both were blessed with their model looks). I think Anne pulls this look off because she is tall and slim — this dress isn’t for everyone. I also like that she chose not to add many accessories. The top is detailed enough that had she added a necklace or huge earrings, it would have been a tad overwhelming.
