I went to downtown Lancaster today for a small arts fest. I didn’t end up getting anything, but I did find some cool locations to take some outfit shots for today’s post! We weren’t walking around for very long, but boy was it hot!! It was only it the low 80s, but you could feel the humidity in the air. It’ll only continue to get warmer this summer — something I don’t look forward to — but you’ve got to just roll with the punches, or in this case the weather! Since it was warm, I figured I’d bring out a printed pair of shorts and a crop top, that way I wouldn’t be sweating bullets as I walked around. This crop top from Free People is one of my favorites!! It’s a great layering piece and I wear it all the time, but every time I put a different spin on it! I’ve already paired it with a blush pink skirt and blue bomber jacket in a previous post. I’ve also worn it with a maxi skirt! And it would also look nice with a pair of skinny jeans! There are so many ways to dress the top up!! That’s what I look for in clothing, something I can wear in multiple ways for years to come!! I found the shorts at a Forever 21 in Washington state when I was out there last summer! I love the colorful print and it pairs very nicely with the nude top!
As for the accessories, the necklace I stole from my mother. She only bought it yesterday, but I’ve already taken it!! She figured we could “share” it, but that pretty much means that it stays in my room and unless she makes an effort to look for it or asks me for it, she’ll never see it again!! The purse is also from Free People and it is made of vegan leather!! It was only $42 too, which isn’t half bad, especially for Free People! I used this purse almost everyday last semester to carry my notebook and the occasional text book! What’s great about it is that it can be worn crossbody or it can be worn as a tote!!
